Wicklow Mountains National Park is managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service which is part of the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government.
The government established the Park with the aim of protecting the area's wildlife, landscape and maintaining and improving the area as a recreational resource for Irish citizens and international visitors alike.
