Bolger's Cottage Education Centre
The Park's Education Centre can be found on the Miners' Road beside the Upper Lake at Glendalough. Since the Park was established in 1991 one of its main aims has been to develop an appreciation for the plants, animals and landscapes of the Wicklow Mountains. The Education Centre hopes to encourage respect and understanding of our natural heritage, encourage environmentally friendly practices and inform the general public about the National Park and Wildlife Service and their role in conservation. The Park’s Guide staff run a variety of educational programmes from the Education centre catering for a wide range of ages and abilities. All activities are provided free of charge for both school groups and the general public. See below for more details on the programmes, history and aims of the centre.
