The Wildflower Walk is one of the many summer events that take place here in the Park. The walk introduces you to some of the more common flower species found within the Park. This interactive walk gives hints on species identification as well as some of the medicinal use and plant lore of the various different species discovered along the way. This walk leaves from our Information Office beside the Upper Lake at Glendalough and explores the lawns and Lower Lake for interesting flowers. This area is not species rich due to grazing by goats and deer but there is plenty to keep you entertained for several hours.
Visitors are asked not to pick any flowers. Please leave them for other visitors to enjoy and of course for the bees and butterflies to feed on the nectar.
