The Information Office of the Park is located beside the car park at the Upper Lake, Glendalough. This lovely converted cottage was once the home of the local forester before the area was transferred to the Park. Details on the local walks and wildlife in the area are available here. Postcards, maps, information leaflets and guidebooks are also on sale.
The office also contains an exhibit on the Park and its wildlife. New to the exhibit is the 'Bat-Cam'. A screen in the office displays live footage from the attic of hundreds of bats which roost there each summer. Another recent addition is the Sensory Garden which adjoins the office. The garden contains a variety of plants which are interesting not only to look at but also to touch, smell and even to listen to!
